Located on a busy thoroughfare in Hayes Valley, The International School of San Francisco is the oldest and largest bilingual school in the city.

 

By reimagining the school’s full block footprint, we focused on using color to enliven the neighborhood and enhance the experience of students, parents, and faculty.

While the palette can be representative of different nations’ flags, these bold colors work to highlight the building’s architectural features and even delineate the hierarchy of classroom locations by grade from lower school, middle school and up to high school.
