The 42-story residential tower designed by SOM is complimented by the 9-story podium designed by Fougeron Architects at 500 Folsom Street. The mixed-use building  brings high density development to San Francisco’s new transit oriented South of Market neighborhood.

 

How do you highlight the residential identity of apartments that bookend the base of a 42-story Tower?

By placing a deep shade of warm brown and using terra cotta as an accent, the matte and glossy metal finishes on the podium level anchor the tower to the ground.
